Chicken in Tamarind Sauce

Ingredients

  • 500grms chicken breast
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1tsp ginger paste
  • 1tsp garlic paste
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp tamarind paste
  • ¼ cup sweet chilli sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2tbsp Soya gold oil

Directions

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients. Cover the bowl with clear foil then let the chicken marinate for at least two hours or overnight
When it’s ready to cook, add oil to a pan. Remove the chicken from the marinade and add to the pan. Reserve the marinade for later
Cook chicken for about 8-10mins or until nicely browned on the outside. Once done remove from the pan then add the marinade. Cook marinade until thick sauce.
Add the chicken back to the pan and cook for 5mins then serve hot
