Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Description

If you are trying to cut down on wheat, then these chicken lettuce wraps are exactly what you need to include in your timetable.

Ingredients

  • 8 Lettuce leaves
  • 500g Chicken cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 orange bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • ½ white onion 
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic and ginger paste
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Directions

Start by seasoning the chicken cubes with salt and pepper then set aside for 30 minutes to overnight. Add your chicken to a pan with some oil and cook the chicken until ready. In the same pan add onions and some oil (if need be) and fry until fragrant.
Add the garlic and ginger paste and cook until fragrant. Add the bell peppers and stir fry continuously for 10 minutes Season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce and mix for 3 minutes.
Return the chicken and stir fry for 5 minutes until it starts to sizzle. Turn off the fire and begin to build your wrap. Start by laying your lettuce leaves on a plate
Scoop ½ a serving spoon of the chicken and place it on the lettuce leaf. Repeat for all the rest and garnish with some sesame seeds.
