Ingredients

Sprinkles
  • 2 ½ cups Self raising flour
  • 8 tablespoons Margarine
  • 2 Eggs
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla essence
  • 1 cup milkSprinkles
For the icing:
  • 250 grams Icing sugar
  • 125 grams Unsalted butter
  • 4-6 tablespoons Whipping cream/ milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence

Directions

Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Beat eggs and margarine. Add in sugar and milk and whisk. Add whisked flour in bits. Finish off with vanilla essence and sprinkles and fold into batter.
Divide batter in between 2 greased 6 inch tins and bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Once ready, remove from oven and set on a rack to cool.
Make buttercream by mixing softened room temp (not melted) butter with icing and essence. Add half the icing sugar and half the cream/ milk. Then mix in the rest until smooth.
Once cakes have cooled, level the top of the cakes with a knife. Spread good amount of buttercream then place the other cake on top. Ice all around and finish off with more spinkles.
