For the simplest BBQ sauce, combine American cola, sriracha, garlic salt and pepper. Whisk together until well incorporated.
For Chicken Wings: Coat chicken with a combination of olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper (careful not to over season). Once well coated, add BBQ sauce, reserving some for basting. Leave to marinate over night
On cook day, remove chicken from fridge and let come up to room temperature. As this is happening, light your BBQ, ensuring that you have a hot section and a cold section.
Once bbq is ready, and chicken has hit room temp, sear the chicken wings on the hot side until lightly charred. Once char is achieved, move to cold section and cover (if you do not have a cover, wrap chicken in foil). Cook for another 30minutes. For the remaining five minutes, return chicken to direct heat and baste with bbq sauce.
