This recipe is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy.
Ingredients
FOR THE KEBABS
½ kg of ground beef
Sun gold oil
1 cup of bread crumbs
1 medium onion, diced
5 garlic cloves crushed
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp salt
1 egg
1 bunched of finely chopped coriander leaves
FOR THE SAUCE
1 cup of blended pineapples
½ cup honey
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp brown sugar
½ tsp chilli flakes
Directions
Step 1
In a skillet/pan fry the onions and garlic with some Sun gold oil until fragrant. In a big bowl mix all other kebab ingredients, the fried onions and garlic and mix well.
Step 2
Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to overnight. Take two tablespoons of the beef and mould it on the skewers in the form of a sausage.
Step 3
Add some oil to the skillet. (enough to coat the bottom of the pan) When the oil is hot, place the kebabs in the oil and use tongs to keep tossing them.
Step 4
Cook for 5-7 minutes or until browned evenly. In another pan, mix all the pineapple sauce ingredients and stir until thick.
Step 5
Turn the heat off and let it cool Serve the skewers with the sauce on the side.
